DHL Stafetten Copenhagen sets new record: Companies choose healthy community spirit.
05.03.2026
DHL Stafetten Copenhagen celebrates its 45th anniversary in 2026 – and interest from Danish workplaces has never been greater.
4,000 registrations per hour. Ticket sales for the DHL Relay Copenhagen got off to the fastest start ever on 3 March 2026.
Since 1981, the DHL Stafetten Copenhagen has developed into one of the world’s largest exercise events and Denmark’s largest company party.
And even though there are still almost six months to go before Fælledparken once again becomes the setting for running, walking and community from 24 to 28 August, more than 60% of all teams were sold shortly after sales began.
“We have never seen such interest so early on. It is clear that workplaces are increasingly investing in the healthy community that arises when colleagues meet to run, walk or cheer in Fælledparken. We look forward to once again creating a setting for the enjoyable moments and fun that companies take away from the DHL Relay – experiences and camaraderie that linger long after they have left Fælledparken,” says Lars Nissen, event manager at Sparta Athletics & Running.
The community spirit is evident at the relay race
Within just a few hours of tickets going on sale, more than a thousand workplaces had secured a place at what is, for many participants, the summer party of the year and one of the social highlights of the year.
One of the companies returning again this year is FUJIFILM Biotechnologies, where the DHL Relay has become a well-established tradition.
“DHL Stafetten Copenhagen reflects our culture really well. We have almost 2,000 employees, and during the relay race we clearly feel the sense of community across departments. More than 300 colleagues take part, and even more show up to cheer. We meet, have fun and support each other. These are the kinds of events that strengthen relationships and make us stronger together – even when everyday work calls,” says Maria Eilsø, People & Culture, FUJIFILM Biotechnologies.
For everyone – regardless of pace
Last year, more than 2,000 workplaces participated in DHL Stafetten Copenhagen. The event is non-profit and open to anyone who can form a team of five – regardless of pace, ambition level, or whether participants choose to run or walk. Each participant completes 5 km.
